Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced against the grain
  • 1 lb fresh stringless green beans, trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ lemon, juice for garnish
  • Salt and fresh cracked pepper
  • ½ cup low-sodium beef stock
  • Crushed red chili pepper flakes optional
  • ½ cup fresh chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves

The Marinade

  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce or coconut amino if you’re strictly paleo
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce we used Sriracha
  • Fresh cracked pepper

Instructions
 

Cooking Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine the ingredients for the marinade and mix well.
  • Marinate the flank steak for at least 30 minutes.
  • In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
  • Add the marinated steak and cook until browned on both sides.
  • Add garlic and remaining butter, cooking until fragrant.
  • Add green beans and beef stock, cover and steam until beans are tender.
  • Serve garnished with parsley and lemon slices.

Notes

This dish can be served with rice or over mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
