Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it reaches the right temperature for baking the meatballs evenly.
  • In a large bowl, combine the lean ground beef, minced garlic, finely chopped green onions, panko breadcrumbs, and the egg. Mix thoroughly until well incorporated.
  • Roll the meat mixture into 1-inch sized meatballs and place them evenly spaced on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until they are cooked through and browned on the outside.
  • Mix the mayonnaise and sriracha sauce together in a small bowl to create a creamy, spicy dipping sauce.
  • Once baked, drizzle the Korean BBQ sauce over the meatballs and toss gently to coat.
  • Serve the meatballs warm with the spicy mayo dip on the side, and sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over them.

Notes

You can substitute Greek yogurt for mayonnaise in the spicy mayo dip for a healthier option. Adjust the amount of sriracha according to your heat preference. Use lean ground beef to reduce fat content while keeping the meatballs juicy. These meatballs can be made ahead and reheated in the oven before serving. For a gluten-free version, replace panko breadcrumbs with gluten-free breadcrumbs.
