Equipment

  • Medium Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Creole mustard
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (like Tabasco)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onion
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  • Combine the mayonnaise, Creole mustard, ketchup, horseradish, hot sauce, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper in a medium bowl.
  • Whisk the ingredients together until the mixture is smooth and uniform in color.
  • Stir in the chopped fresh parsley and green onion.
  • Add the fresh lemon juice and mix well.
  • Taste the sauce and adjust hot sauce or cayenne for desired spice level.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend.

Notes

For a sugar-free or Keto version, omit the ketchup entirely and increase the hot sauce slightly for depth. This sauce pairs well with fried shrimp, crab cakes, or as the dressing for a Po’ Boy sandwich. The sauce thickens slightly as it chills.
