Equipment

  • Blender

Ingredients

  • 3.5 cups fresh or frozen pineapple chunks 1 pound
  • 2 large bananas peeled, fresh or frozen
  • 1 large orange peeled and quartered, weighing 12 ounces
  • 1 cup yogurt coconut yogurt for vegan & dairy free, Greek yogurt, or canned coconut milk
  • 1-2 cups ice cubes only use if none of your fruit is frozen
  • 1-2 teaspoons vanilla extract optional

Instructions

  • Blend all the ingredients in a blender until smooth.
  • If your fruit is at room temperature, you may want to add some ice cubes to your smoothie. Add the ice only after you've blended the fruit, otherwise there's not enough room in the blender.

Notes

If you have frozen pineapples and frozen bananas try adding a little orange juice to help get the mixture moving in the blender. When I make a half batch of this smoothie, I cut all the ingredients in half except the orange.
